An act of acceptance into commercial operation of the first unit of BelNPP has been signed, the Ministry of Energy of Belarus reported.
"On June 10, 2021, an acceptance commission, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Nazarov, signed the act of commissioning of the start-up complex of the first unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant," reads the report.
The commission's decision is based on the positive conclusions of the supervisory authorities and the BelNPP working committee, as well as on the license issued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the industrial operation of the first power unit.
Currently, the unit is operating at the nominal power level of the reactor. Since its incorporation into the unified energy system, almost 3 billion kWh of electricity has been generated.
